JOB TITLE: Jordan’s Principle Intake Worker
LOCATION: IRTC Sub-Office, Headingley, MB
SALARY: Based on education and experience
START DATE: ASAP- March 31, 2025 (renewal subject to continued funding)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinator, the Jordan’s Principle Intake Worker’s focus is client intake, recording, compilation, organization and dissemination of documents, client data, and information that will be used to provide services to IRTC Jordan’s Principle clients. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Receive incoming referrals for Jordan’s Principle from community members, collateral agencies, and professionals.
• Educate families about communities supports which may assist and supplement the services they receive from Jordan’s Principle.
• Determine needs of child based on request and forward referrals to IRTC’s Jordan’s Principle Case Managers.
• Gathering demographic and pertinent information to develop client’s intake file.
• Data entry and record keeping for annual reports.
• Provide afterhours coverage for Jordan’s Principle clients.
• To perform other duties as assigned by the Jordan’s Principle Service Coordinator.
• Provide support, guidance, and be a resource to the First Nation’s Jordan’s Principle team, First Nation’s families, etc.
• Review and prioritize incoming correspondence directed to the Jordan’s Principle team, reroute or photocopy as appropriate and/or attach pertinent files or related correspondence
• Maintain organized filing system
• Ensures appropriate follow up on tasks and assignments delegated by the Jordan’s Principle team
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Jordan’s Principle team
QUALIFICATION:
• Grade 12 Diploma and College Administrative Certificate, or other related education, training, work experience in office administrative supports is an asset
• Thorough knowledge of services and supports offered through Jordan’s Principle
• Ability to manage workloads, set priorities, and meet deadlines, with proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Must have experience using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Must be able to work overtime hours if needed
• Must have a class 5 drivers license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel
• Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check
• Ability to speak and understand Saulteaux/Ojibway an asset
