IRTC UPDATE:
The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.2 per cent and 34 new cases of the virus have been identified as of 9:30 a.m. today, bringing the number of cases in Manitoba to 1,953.
The data shows:
- two cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region
- one cases in the Northern health region
- five cases in the Southern Health region
- 26 cases in the Winnipeg health region
The data also shows:
- 606 active cases and 1,327 individuals have recovered from COVID- 19
- there are 14 people in hospital and eight people in intensive care
- the number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 20.
CASE INVESTIGATION UPDATE
Public health is advising of possible exposures to COVID-19 at the following sites on the dates and times:
- IQRA School in Winnipeg on Sept. 23 and Sept. 24: The cohort has been advised to self-isolate and move to remote learning. Based on the public health investigation, the infection was not acquired at school and the exposure was assessed to be low risk for those outside the
- Lens Crafters, 1649 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg – Sept. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 15 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Public health officials have declared the COVID-19 outbreaks over at the Assiniboine Centre at the Brandon Regional Health Centre in Brandon. The site has returned to the Caution (yellow) level on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System.
Manitoba First Nations COVID-19 Pandemic Response Coordination Team (PRCT) BULLETIN – September 25, 2020
The MB First Nations PRCT Update provides the most up-to-date data on First Nations cases in Manitoba. This bulletin is shared with MB Chiefs and Health Directors and is produced by The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs.
The Manitoba First Nations COVID-19 Pandemic Response Coordination Team advise that, since the September 22nd bulletin, twelve (12) new First Nations COVID-19 cases were identified as of 7:00 am, Friday, September 25th, including 4 new cases September 25th. The total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive First Nations cases in Manitoba has increased by 12, taking the total to 71 cases. 57 cases are off-reserve and 14 cases are on-reserve. The total number of recovered cases are now 24 and active cases are 47.
