Interlake Reserves Tribal Council is leading capacity building efforts for its member communities to develop their own land use plan. This important initiative will help each community develop the tools and support necessary to implement their own land use plan and eventually have their own land management code. The traditional knowledge land use studies is also a initiative undertaken by IRTC to help each communities develop their own TKLU study in relation to the proposed Province of Manitoba project “Lake St. Martin Channel reach 2 & reach 3.
